It replaces the 1986 policy and introduces the 5+3+3+4 school structure covering foundational to secondary stages. The policy emphasizes early childhood education, mother-tongue learning in early grades, critical thinking, creativity, and experiential learning. It also promotes vocational education and coding from Grade 6, preparing students with 21st-century skills for future careers.
